The 2019 IEEE Automatic Speech Recognition and Understanding Workshop (ASRU 2019) will be held on 14‐18 December 2019 at Sentosa, Singapore. Come enjoy the tropical island right before the winter holiday season! Don’t miss out on the early bird registration deadline (5 October 2019). Registration can be done here.
The ASRU Workshop is a flagship event of IEEE Speech and Language Processing Technical Committee. The workshop is held every two years and has a tradition of bringing together researchers from academia and industry in an intimate and collegial setting to discuss problems of common interest in automatic speech recognition and understanding.
This year, we have an exciting line‐up for the technical program. A total of 299 paper submissions were received and were 144 are accepted to be presented at the main conference. There are 5 keynote speeches and 5 invited talks ranging from characterizing charisma to the kinship between speech and music, and auditory scene analysis. In addition we are organizing a workshop on Life‐Long Learning for Spoken Language Systems (can be registered on top of ASRU 2019). In addition, NIST Speaker Recognition Evaluation 2019 is co‐located with ASRU 2019 (separate registration from ASRU).
Last but not least, a Young Female Researchers Mentoring (YFRM) special session will be organized at ASRU for the first time. Please register your participation here. Travel grants are available for selected YFRM participants.
